What are porcelain (PFM) crowns?

Porcelain crowns or PFM (porcelain fused to metal) crowns are a natural-looking crown option for your cosmetic dental concerns. PFM crowns can often last in their durability and aesthetics for many years if not decades.

During your visit to Miracle Dental, Dr. Frolov can determine if a porcelain crown is right for you. If you visit our office for a porcelain crown, during your first visit Dr. Frolov will remove a small area of enamel and take impressions of the teeth. You will then receive a temporary crown while your permanent porcelain crown is being furnished. You may need to avoid very hard or sticky foods for the week or so while you have the temporary crown.

Once your custom permanent crown is ready, it will be bonded to the tooth at your next visit, resulting in your new smile!
